Hi all! What games are you playing these days?
I'm very limited on what I can play due to the limited mobility and hand issues BUT
I'm playing:
- Guild Wars 2 (Yes, still, but it's my Thursday night with friends, sooooo....) -- MMO
- Fall out 4 (was playing until my hands got too painful for the combat, so I just mess around building settlements) -- Open World RPG
- Fallen London (browser game, so click and play!) -- story-based virtual novel multiplayer
- No Man's Sky (was playing, hopefully once I get this pain situation dealt with I can go back to it) -- Open World RPG
- Ashen (I can play it on PS4 and is easier on my hands) -- Open World RPG
- In Other Waters (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) -- story-based indie adventure
- Heaven's Vault (ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMEND INDIE GAME) -- indie adventure
- Horizon Zero Dawn (on the PS4 though I'm not able to do that with my hands in pain) -- Open World story-based RPG
I know it looks like a lot, but I randomly will jump between these games in any given week. LIke one day it'll be one and then the other another.
I also have way too large of a queue of games I want to try. hahah. I love games, even if I struggle with playing them due to my chronic illness.
What about all of you??

I'm not much of a gamer myself but I like calm games without violence/Fighting. I love Animal Crossing and have been playing New Horizons since it was released in March which I have enjoyed for the most part, however as it's a new game and they are releasing new content in free updates it can be a bit boring and seem to lack content compared to the previous games but I still love it and when the updates come it does liven it up again.

Unfortunately I don't play as much as I used to, and mostly play as a social exercise these days so I play whatever my friends are playing. Lately we've been alternating between Deep Rock Galactic, a Space Blue Collar Worker simulator/shooter and Vermintide 2, another co-op shooter, when the whole gang is together, and Total War co-op when it's just two of us. Star Wars Squadrons just released and I expect we will be playing a lot of that.
When I do get a chance to play on my own I often relax with some Planet Zoo on sim mode, just putting together animal habitats and making the animals happy without worrying about the economic sim side of things. When I'm up for a bit more of a cognitive challenge, I usually boot up Civilisation or something along those lines, but it takes me months and months to finish a game since I play it so rarely. I've also been playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, which is fun, but since i play so rarely i've been playing it for a year and have no idea what's going on every time I boot it up so it can be difficult to motivate myself for it.
Outside of the videogames world, my colleague and I designed a TTRPG and have been playing that a bit - I have two campaigns going currently. One as a player, and one as a DM. The mechanics all seem to be working quite well and most things are working smoothly as intended, but we have to do a little rebalancing here and there. but hey, that's what play-testing is for!

Oooh! Stargirl, have you played Eastshade yet? Calmest loveliest game I've tried so far. No fighting or scary things lurking, just exploring a beautiful setting and helping people and painting landscapes! Let me see if I can find some screenshots of it.

Okay, what do I play?
MMOs (for the times I feel social):
* Guild Wars 2 (LF has a guild, come join us) * Elder Scrolls Online (LF has a guild here too, and we need faithful players!) * Overwatch (Reaper is my friend)
Solo (for when I want to be aloooooooone):
* Fallout 4 (build ALL the settlements!) * Witcher 2 (I like Witcher 1 better, but it's broken on my system, and I can't be bothered to reinstall) * Skyrim (if the bugs will let me play, ugh)
Games I've finished and will NEVER play again:
* Solus Project (holy shit, I could only play for an hour at a time; atmosphere builds until I'm freaking out; very well done; highly recommend if you like alien-horror/survival)
Games I really want to finish but prolly won't:
* Prey (also freaks me out, but well done) * Eastshade (so calming just wandering around, helping out and painting, but I like the slight adrenaline rush that comes with whacking bad guys)

I've heard of it but I haven't played it yet. I may check it out as it does sound nice.

It depends on what console I feel like playing.
Switch: Hollowknight (I am horrible at platform games but I love the art style and have resigned myself to dying a lot) Fire Emblem: Three houses Cat quest (super light hearted and there are cat puns!)
PS4: Ghost of Tsushima Kingdom Hearts 3
3DS: Pokemon (it was a large part of my childhood and I like to replay the old games when I'm feeling nostalgic.)
Those are the ones I've played recently but I also have more that I want to buy. Is it too much to ask for time to stop whenever I play games to I can still be productive?

Bird, Horizon Zero Dawn is one of my all time favorite games! I adore it. Freakin excited for the sequel. I have not played a lot this year. Burnt out here and there, reading instead, or writing... etc. For this year I have beat Shadow of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One (7/10, best in the trilogy and #10 in my top ten list), the indie classic Braid on Xbox One (7/10), Marvel's Spiderman -PS 4 Exclusive - (8/10, #8 on my top ten list), and another indie classic Journey (8.5/10) on PS 4. For multiplayer, Star Wars: Battlefront II on Xbox One (I suck at it, has lag, still fun), Halo (a given and my most played by miles), and I tried Apex Legends on Xbox One. I won't play it again until I have people with me. In the queue as of this week: Sea of Solitude on Xbox One, a gorgeous looking independent single player game, BioShock: The Colletion, a trilogy of all time FPS classics I once tried and didn't like. I recently tried Outer Wilds on my Xbox One as it was a free preorder give away a while ago, and sometimes going back to Horizon Zero Dawn to collect more text, audio and holographic files laden in the world. My most anticipated games coming up for this next generation: 1) Halo Infinite 2) Horizon Forbidden West 3) Call of the Sea 4) Kena: Bridge of Spirits 5)The Elder Scrolls VI 6) Chorus 7) Marvel's Spiderman: Miles Morales 8) Avowed 9) As Dusk Falls I thought I had 11 to share.... hmm.

Could be better, and it took me a while to get in to. I didn't expect the twist at the beginning, which was fun, and I was enjoying exploring and unpuzzling the "truth," but I started getting frustrated by being unable to access certain rooms, and then all the places filled up with stupid amounts of aliens which freaked me out, so things felt even more bottlenecked and claustrophobic, so I quit playing. Would love to experience the three different endings tho. But I probably don't have the patience to play it that much. Oh, well. Maybe I'll try again someday?

You acquire better gear the more you search. Also the more you save junk to refrabraicate it into parts to strengthen your gear, it makes aliens slightly easier to deal with. I see what you mean. For me It was how long it took for the story to begin unfolding.

Oh my goodness, I have too many games going on right now. How about my top 5 at the moment: - Guild Wars 2 - for some reason I decided it would be fun to craft a legendary weapon, so I'm actually learning to play the game for real after... 5 years? But it's my only MMO, so I don't mind.
- Fallout 4 - I've beaten the main game and several DLC. My main gig now is wasting hours and hours turning those ugly settlements into glamorous Swanktuariestm
- Control - Absolutely stunning game from the same team behind Alan Wake. Seriously. Gotta check this one out folks. And they just released a new DLC for it
- Mass Effect - I'm trying sooo hard to get into Andromeda at the moment, but I'm really just wanting to replay the trilogy over and over again lol
- Song of Horror - 10/10 horror game, need to actually finish streaming the second chapter though.
I tend to switch back and forth between so many games at once though lol. Like this week alone I've played Stardew Valley, Dark Souls 3, Alien: Isolation, Fugl, Noita, Bayonetta, and I just got Dead Space 1&2 because they were on fire sale.
Since building a PC that can handle it, I also recently got a PS2 emulator up and running, but we're not gonna talk about that. I certainly don't have any ROMs installed for it. What? That would be illegal. Which is why I totally don't.

The only game I really play nowadays is Oldschool RuneScape for the nostalgia factor. I can play on mobile or on laptop depending on my level of attention span, can play for 5 minutes or for hours at a time. It’s a really at-your-own-pace kinda game aside from raids and some end game combat stuff. Been playing that game off and on since like 2005 actually. Graphics are horrid and it’s a grindfest, but it has a special place in my heart.
