I'm sorry, guys. This is the second October Contest I just haven't been able to get anything in. The thing I wrote is such a hot mess, and I just didn't have a lot of time yesterday to try to figure out how to fix it.
I really like the concept I came up with, it's just, trying to make it fit into a cohesive short story made me rush through all the development, and it just feels so disjointed because of it. I'll probably trash what I've written and start again, this time with no word crunch. Take my time, develop characters and setting, that sort of thing. Heck, maybe I'll use it for NaNoWriMo this year.
I hate that I don't have an entry for this contest. Hate hate hate. But it is what it is, I guess. Good luck, y'all!

Don't hate. You started a story and didn't have it where you wanted it, that's all. You're looking at using it for NaNoWriMo, that's good.

I understand this feeling on a fundamental level. It's okay, of course, but I would hate it too. I was so close to having nothing for Legends and it hurt my soul. But I wanna see this story at some point! The good thing about the contests are what they inspire. Keep going. |

My entry was messy, but I made the decision to bang out something bad rather than not have anything at all. Not sure if that was the right decision. |
