Still haven't written anything, and I've only got five days left, lol. Lolol. I have to laugh to keep from weeping.
I have been working on it in my head, though. I like the concept. Lots of potential. I just gotta decide on where to go and how to start.

My entry took a total 180 flip and I love it but it isn't at all what I expected. No idea where it's going but excited for the ride. |

I had the day off and meant to work on it, but I started feeling my idea is really pretty boring despite the initial excitement and has multiple bits that are just not very believable. I was going to give up, but I think at this point I'll try a little harder.

The due date is Sunday and instructions are in the opening post of this thread.
The story can be about dreams or nightmares. You could include both but don’t have to. Max of 3k words in the genre of your choice.

Update: I managed to cut mine back to 3k (2,999, to be exact!), and I just... don't think I like it. I really like the concept itself, but not how it's executed (and I've reworked it twice so far). The beginning is good, then the narration style changes a bit and it seems to rocket through the middle and to the end. It gets the point across for the most part, but doesn't feel quite complete, like it should be much longer. So, I'm not sure what to do, yet. I'd rather not submit something that I don't even like myself, but, I could always have two versions of the story, too. Or I could save this concept for later and see if I can come up with an entirely different idea between now and the deadline. We will see.  |

I need to trim 122 more words, then I'll be golden, but I do feel like I shoved a lot into a 3k story. This could easily be longer. I feel like it might confuse people or make them feel unfulfilled. Ah well. I do like it though so I guess I'll let it sit for a day and come back to it. See how it feels after that. YOU CAN DO IT.
