I know there is a word limit for the Legends story, but is there a minimum word count or a specific number of words that would make the entry ineligible? Not really. Just longer than a 100 Word Weekly, okay?

Well, a long bath and a few glasses of red ended up flipping the script, and now I have a story idea I'm running wild with and it's the poem I'm not so sure about LOL Wishing everyone the best and cheering on your muses! And maybe doing a little threatening of them with a bat if they don't cooperate. As in, the furry, shrieky thing, not the wooden thing. Hey, awesome! Go red wine! Ugh, I'm going to have to beat my poem with a bat. I'll flip a coin to decide which kind to use.

Any decision on extending the contest deadline yet? Oh! LOL, yes, writing period is extended to three weeks. I'll edit the dates asap.
EDIT: Okay, everyone, the deadline dates are updated to reflect the majority preference for an extra week for writing.

Come on now, Ms. Muse. You have been given seven days reprieve to get that rear end in gear…!!! “Rear in gear”……beginning of a potential poem perhaps? Then again, probably not.

The story is looking good and the poem's 1st draft is better than expected. Had these feelings before but this is different.

Hmm... I may be getting closer to a poem. Maybe.
Will I like this poem tomorrow? A week from now? We'll see.

Raveneye, First, thank you for your answer about following a plot/story line not being plagiarism provided I’m doing it in my words.
As for my poem, I went and listened to some poems from one of my favorite poets, before I started the draft. Goggle helps as well for ideas.

Looking at my story and poem each day. With each finding something to change, relocate or remove.

Looking at my story and poem each day. With each finding something to change, relocate or remove. Try not to overthink too much, Pel. The creative process can so easily be crushed with excessive analysis.

Uh… over editing is as bad as rushing!?🥺 Anything to excess is never a good thing, Pel. We can always find things to change in any piece if we keep on digging....and digging doesn't necessarily unearth anything good.

Have now written the first 1000 words to 5 different stories and I hate them all. Do-do-do-do-do...

I have no idea what I'm going to do. Guess I've got a few weeks. Hope something sparks.
