Ugh, this week's prompt, and all I can think of is that stupid otter carving in the taxidermy store in that ridiculous horror novel The Hollow Places. That novel woulda been spectacular if not for the cheesy dialog and rampaging taxidermy. Anyway... gotta break through this block to figure out what to write. (Which is turning out to be more difficult than breaking through a wall and falling into a Hollow Place.)

 What the heck. I don't know what's going on with my brain lately. Things aren't clicking for some reason, so these last few prompts have come to nothing. It's not the prompts, it's definitely my brain fizzing out. It needs to wake up and get with the program. Sheesh.

The 100 Weekly challenge will be going on hiatus for a few weeks.
Gonna take a little time off and give everyone's brain a break as I think we might need it.
Too much burden on poor Foxxglove to carry the challenge by herself (even though her writing is always awesome)  |

Seems I'm not the only one. FoxxGlove, you're a champ! I really regret this, but it seems a break is needed for a bit. Hoping a few weeks will rouse interest again, especially since the 100 Word winners feature largely in the Compendium. I have an idea, though, about what can augment the missing content. C'mon, brain! Wake up and function, dang it! |

No worries, all! I know my mind's been wandering among things lately too, and it's been hard to wrangle it back to creativity.
I blame springtime for finally coming around and dragging our focus out of quarantine and off to things we can actually do together outside LOL

Darn! It seems I'm in the same boat as some others. I genuinely love doing the 100-Word challenges (and I even drop a nudge to my husband each week), but my mind has definitely been on other things these last few months! Either I have no inspiration or I miss the deadline.
A break might do the trick and I look forward to this kicking back up again. |
