"Agh!" a nearby woman yelled, hand moving to her stomach. Anna surged forward to catch the woman falling and dragged her behind the curtains of the stage.
"Hey, hey," Anna whispered, attempting to quiet the audience member. "What's up? What's going on?"
"I think something's wrong, I don't know what it is, god it hurts," the woman groaned, her eyes going from wide and scared to clenched in pain.
"I used to be a medic," someone behind Anna said, startling her. The pained woman didn't react.
"Okay, what do you think is going on?" Anna asked the stranger. A tall man in jeans and a collared shirt came over and began pulling the pained woman's shirt up. Anna grabbed the shirt from him and twisted her face in anger. "Screw you, dude. She doesn't need her shirt pulled up. She needs to see a doctor."
"Trust me." The man said. Anna had no reason to.
"No. Leave, I'm going to take her to the hospital." Anna was infuriated by the gall of the man who was seemingly disrespecting the groaning woman.
"No. I think I saw what happened." The man seemed unaffected by Anna's rage.
"What?" Anna hadn't considered something external happening. She let go of the woman's shirt and allowed the man to raise it higher.
"The sword.. yep. The butt of Tybalt's sword hit her when he turned around. I think she probably still needs to go to the hospital, but at least we know it's not her appendix or something." Anna looked at him, the rage draining from her face. She began to blush.
The woman twisted away from Anna and her torso fell to the floor. She began swearing and crossed her arms over her stomach. "Do something!" she shouted.
The man grabbed her where Anna had held her before, and motioned towards her feet. "Help me carry her out," he asked. Anna grabbed the woman's feet and they awkwardly moved her through a backstage passage. "I'm a stage hand. I go by Trickster," Trickster said while they shuffled down a thin hall.
"I'm Anna," Anna acknowledged. She couldn't imagine going by a name like Trickster, but at this point, what did she know?
