Legendfire is back!!!!!!
This is literally (and I mean literally) the best news since gingerbread hit the shops. How I've missed this amazing community. It's only been three years, but they were the saddest years.
I've forum-hopped like mad. Litopia, Scribophile, Nano... none of them were quite like this place. I am absolutely thrilled to be back. In the old forum, I was moderator for the writing questions forum and the bane of all flash fiction contests... 
I bear great news. My first book, The Long, Long Afternoon, is going to be published traditionally in February by Bonnier Zaffre. I got an agent in July 2019, after about 60 rejections. The book went to auction in December last year and in January I signed a two-book deal with Bonnier. It's available for pre-order on Amazon, Waterstones or in your local bookshop. 
None of this would have happened without this amazing community. I'm so glad to be back, and to give something back.

WOW!! Congrats Farida! And welcome back. So happy to see you again. That's amazing news. *Happy dance* you must tell me more about your process and how it all came to be! I love hearing success stories. They're like author fairy tales.

Oh my gosh!!! Farida! YOUR PUBLICATION is the best news ever. Well done. I'm putting your book on my pre-order list asap. You know we're all going to be eager to hear from you what it's like working with an agent and all, right? 60 rejections... now that's a lovely lesson in persistence, right there.
