Hi everyone, I am excited to start writing and to interact with like-minded people.
I am 28 and started reading seriously only a few years ago. I started writing mainly for fun but my life took such turns that it has become my favorite thing.
See you around!!

Welcome, welcome! I love the feeling of a new hobby, especially a creative one. Writing is so fantastic, it provides an endless amount of possibility. My dad started writing when he retired (I suggested it since he had so many great science fiction ideas) and he is SO happy. One things I love about it is that I can world-build anywhere, anytime. I was at the dentist the other week and while they drilled my tooth I thought about character dynamics for my current work-in-progress. So once again, welcome to this wonderful world! There's so much to learn and play around with. Have fun!

Nice to meet you! We are the same age. What made you want to write? I also started reading a lot more only recently. I read before and during university studies. After I finished my degree, I began reading more than I ever had.

After I finished my degree, I began reading more than I ever had. I started writing for fun, to improve my english vocab and it turned out that i had pretty good ideas! I still haven't read so much and i am quite picky with reading nowadays. But even though i haven't read much, i got the gist of what type of writing i like and which would suit my story. And I never enjoyed working for others, so this is my escape from prison! I started reading more also after university. my real education began then, haha. What about you?

Thank you! Did it ever happen to you that what you wrote kind of came true? It's the main idea of this fun movie: 'Stranger than fiction' This happened to me! I wrote about something and later it manifested in reality! This is the best type of hobby! looking forward to getting to know each other better!

I bet this writing thing will get even better in time! ScienceGirl who writes SciFi? If I might answer your question, it seems most of our writers dabble in speculative fiction of some kind, but if you're looking for sci-fi writers in particular, you might hit up Bird or Caulder Melhaire.

It is sweet when you discover an interest you never thought you had. Awesome. Well, the working with others part you need in the real world or not if you are freelance.
I was studying Computer Science, struggling a ton. I ended up changing to creative writing, then English with a minor in Writing. It came out of no where, but I was praying about it. God changed the direction of my education for the better! Writing is awesome. The month after I graduated was the start of 2019. I wanted to read stories and story mediums I had never really care for or experienced. Been doing that since.
