Revision and proofreading may have to go by the wayside since I'll probably be hard pushed to even get the ideas "down on paper" before the deadline hits.

I think I might be halfway done. Maybe it's boring and the voters won't want to sit through this thing. Maybe it's kind of melodramatic. I wrote the climax today— now to write what leads up to the climax. And I've already written the ending, part of it. This might be my patchiest approach to a story yet.

I'm so glad that I'm writing fiction again, and it's going so much more smoothly than I expected, too. I thought I'd have to force my way through it, but it's fun and really flowing.
