Valhalla Erikson and Mazulla - Thank you both for posting your prompts. This helps big time. I wasn't too far off, it seems, but MJ apparently didn't like the words I threw at it. Been playing with this on and off through the day and reading documentation for commands and stuff, and things are steadily improving. I found I'm having better results by using full sentences. It seems the prepositions make a difference. Like you say, Mazulla, rather than say "dragon," describe the dragon's appearance. Seems to be the way to go. We're writers, right? Describing a scene for this AI ought to be simple. Hehe. After that learning curve, I ended up with two images that totally fit my current WIPs. I loved them so much I had them upscaled so I can use them in mood boards, promos, cover art, etc. Success #1 -- In my fantasy series of shorts and novellas, my main character plays a white lute that he crafted himself from magical wood in the fae realm. So my prompt was: "white lute in magical forest --ar 2:3 --s 750 --c 100 --v 4" Success #2 is for my historical. Prompt: "a blonde woman wearing a white dress carries a parasol in the Saharan desert, Impressionism --ar 2:3 --c 100 --v 4" The only problem is that the woman has three feet, and all of three are wrapped in linen strips like mummy feet. Bizarre!

That said, I tried a prompt based on Alatariel 's Twin Watch series and I'm not sure how I feel about the results. Maybe Ala can provide better prompt words? Prompt: a dark-haired female teenager holding a pocket watch falls through a time warp --ar 2:3 --c 100 --v 4 I mean, OMG, what is up with #3. LMAO. And the girl in #2 has THREE arms, and the clock has a hand, which she is literally holding. The other two aren't so bad. Maybe specifying a style would benefit this one...?

Further on this topic, ran across this article comparing MidJourney with Dall-E: dallery.gallery/midjourney-guide-ai-art-explained/It has some good tips on creating specific styles of art with MJ, things that hadn't occurred to me to try. I'm looking into Dall-E too, but I don't think it's free, and I think it takes more programming know-how. Incidentally, Dall-E has a photography mode. None of this is real: dallery.gallery/dall-e-prompts-photography-styles/ but can you tell? (prompts provided with each image) Lastly (I think, maybe) prompt guides. Dall-E has a downloadable PDF with tips that, I assume, will also be helpful with MJ prompts. Sorta comparable one for MidJourney: docs.midjourney.com/docs/quick-startAnd some helpful articles: medium.com/mlearning-ai/an-advanced-guide-to-writing-prompts-for-midjourney-text-to-image-aa12a1e33b6exploreai.substack.com/p/the-ultimate-midjourney-prompt-guideAnyone else find a good one? And, apparently, if you plug in "just pure cuteness, nothing else but cuteness" you get a big-eyed kitten wearing a cape and hood. I might have to subscribe for a month so I can play with random stuff like that.

Er, careful with the "old" stuff. I'm older than you are and got it working. Could you please clarify what "got mesaage about claim accouas" means? Maybe we can help?

Itseems that MidJourney gave me a second account. I found my main account all okay but I'm not taking another chance with MidJourney.

A few AI Concepts I've created for my epic dark fantasy novel The Ballad of The Wolf Princess. The first one is one of my key antagonist named The Lich Knight. The main character Bjorn, her childhood friend and Knight In Training The kingdom where the main character resides in These are so cool! We should have a thread just for AI creations, haha. forum.legendfire.com/thread/1159/ai-creationDone and done

Itseems that MidJourney gave me a second account. I found my main account all okay but I'm not taking another chance with MidJourney. ??? So instead of just applying the app to an existing Discord server that you had admin rights to, it sounds like you created a new one with new log in info from the MidJourney website... Yes? I can see how that happened, because I started to do the same thing. Realized the issue when the "register account" process said my email address was already tied to an account. If you want to log into MidJourney's WEBSITE, use your current Discord log in info. If you end up here --> www.midjourney.com/ <-- log in with your current Discord info, no need to register. This will let you see some examples and documentation but not do much unless you buy a subscription. INSTEAD what you need to do is open your current Discord server (where you do your actual chatting with folks), go to its settings with the dropdown arrow (upper left corner), and choose "App Directory." If you have permission to do so, you should be able to search for MidJourney in the App Directory and apply it to your server. It should be that simple. Now, that's the last advice/instruction I'll give cuz it's up to you.

Okay, posting new digital art at the link Valhalla started. , back to ChatGPT. So I made an account at ChatGPT yesterday but haven't played with it yet. Like, I said way up there before we got sidetracked by eye candy, I'm concerned about security issues, so I used an alternate email account to do this. AND I asked my husband about it. He's in the cybersecurity field (thus my hyper leeriness about things like this), and he already knew what it was. We're going to look into it this week and if he deems it safe (which it probably is, mostly) I'll get to asking it plot questions. Also, if you make an account, you get immediate access to THEIR Discord server, so I was reading the stories the AI had written, and their soooo bad. They all begin with "Once upon a time...." No kidding??? And most of the content is told in fairytale style. TOLD, not SHOWN. Yeah, so not award-winning fiction. Could be useful as story SUMMARY though. Definitely needs that human touch.

YES! That’s exactly what happened. Okay, I’ll try it again tonight, the pictures you’ve all posted are great.
As for age, I say it this way. I’m 41 with 22 years of experience. Never been great with computers, but don’t want to fear them either. Thank you all for your helpful comments.

OMG I love these because they are hilarious. The last one is super cool, though. The first one is really lovely. The second and third? LOL. What. Hm. Not sure about better prompt words but some that come to mind might be: dark haired young woman, antique pocket watch, energy portal, transports to fantasy world ?? I dunno. Still fun! And yes, add the Arc of the Scythe trilogy to your reading list ASAP.

Midjourney is showing under Authorized apps but I don’t see the sailboat anywhere else. Do you mean authorized apps in Discord? If so, you should be able to click it and start posting prompts in one of MidJourney's channels.
Also, if you don't want to have to keep track of your images each time in MidJourney's open channels (there are so many posts to contend with), I recommend keeping track of one of your images, then long-press on it and select an "Envelope" emoji. The MidJourney bot will send you a private message in Discord with those images. You can then use the private message to enter prompts between just you and MidJourney. (Maybe I'm dumb and there is an easier way than this, but it was the easiest way I found to get a private message to open with the bot)
