I know most of us are writers of speculative fiction, but sometimes it's nice to break out of the box and write about the real world. The magazines/journals listed at the link below want fiction, nonfiction, and poetry of the literary variety. Some of these are open to subs all the time, some are not. You know, I'm pleasantly surprised how unpretentious most of these look. Often when I find a literary publisher they're full of artsy blurry photos and descriptions like "shatter us with your coldest creamiest words. we like hard truths and stories that smell like cooking pasta." Or something.
I might try "Like Paper Planes Unfolding" at some of these. Thanks.
