Conviction
With no ducking stool available, they lash me to a milkmaid's yoke and lower me into the water. Only one goal in mind, that being to shorten my life by way of drowning. The gawking crowd of dullards find the spectacle thrilling, their existence otherwise humdrum and essentially mundane.
They gather at the lake with baskets of loaves, platters of cheese and flagons of ale. They make a meal of it, so to speak.
When night falls, I emerge, soaked and sodden, from the depths to be arrested and charged again...and again...and again...
Life is perpetually harsh for a witch who cannot die.

Flight
A nimbleness that came from rigid routines and countless hours of practice, confidence laced every movement, every graceful twist and turn. Confidence not only in herself, but in the trust placed in her partners. Nothing was more exhilarating than climbing high above the crowds gathered for a performance that would leave lasting impressions in their memories. She stood atop a platform, the distance shortening to her swinging partner. Their hands interlocked, then she was hanging only by their combined strength. With precise timing and momentum, she was propelled forward into a lithe flip, caught by another. The crowd's applause erupted.
