Witches and Werewolf Chronicles-VII
Ganalon arrived at Giant’s Ring two days later and looked over the murder scene. He coated his closed eyes with mud.
“Spirits of earth, allow me to see what happened.”
He shed a few tears. “The Neuri King? That’s impossible, he’s a myth. Why is the center ring blocked off?”
He floated down the hole. A simple conjuring brought flame to his left palm. He saw a set of silver manacles and human prints that became that of a wolf’s hind prints. If it walked as a person, it’s over seven feet tall.
“I must research the Neuri blood line.”

Daddy's Girl
Not easy growing up with only one parent. Father does his best though. He says Mother was a true angel, so I always picture her lounging casually on a cloud playing the harp, but I know that's a stereotype. There are no actual photographs.
We have a real loving relationship, me and my Dad, and I'll inherit the family business eventually. Until then, I'm working diligently on passing all of the aptitude tests. Took trial by brimstone the other day and came through without so much as a blister!
My reward was a lovely custom-made toasting fork.
I believe Mother would be proud.

The merit I inherit
To concentrate on the lost sparrow, I had to tune out my dorm-mates’ awed faces. At last, I caught it with my mind. I urged it out of the building and set it free. Everyone cheered. I once thought myself lucky for being born into one of the more interesting superpowered families. I’d moved 200 miles away for college, finally adult. I’d written grade-A papers and made excellent presentations, achievements of my own merit, yet all I was known for was my family. It was called a power, but it was when I practiced it that I felt the weakest.
