Well this isn't so much a boast as it is just letting people know I have just posted a new short story on my website. It's not for publication as such, its more of a supplementary piece helping to build the background and getting to know one of my main characters. I hope you all enjoy it, let me know what you all think. www.slbutlerauthor.com/post/allyra-a-short-story

Nice! That's cool. I love the look of your website and the font used. Very clean and soothing. I'll reading it tonight!

That one was done a while ago and it probably needs a bit of an update. But yes the idea is to keep it smooth and easy to read without getting too much in your face.

Oh, sweet! Wolves! How fun and challenging to write from a wolf's perspective.
I find this inspiring. Makes me wanna write up something for one of the characters I've been working on and toss it onto my blog. A good way to get into a character's brain and learn who they are. I fear I'd feel obligated to continue the process though in that public space, which I'd feel unsafe doing. But that's just me--and probably why I don't post on my blog often enough. Ugh.
Anyway, I love the look and feel of your site. Ala's right. It's inviting and restful. Too many author's sites are just what you say. "In your face." Too much on them, too overwhelming and the good content gets lost.

Yes its a fun challenging aspect of her story going forward - one of the aspects of shape shifting that almost never seems to get asked. In any case the prospect is going to be a lot of fun I dare say. And thanks for the feedback on the site - i hope the redesign works as well when it is done.

Great writing!
I like the circular structure it has of the wolves becoming what he and she became. The ending was slightly ambiguous for me. I love how human you make the wolves sound.
