The "Books and Bicycles" theme has me laughing. What a random story theme, right? A story incorporating books and bicycles. At first it seemed like they wanted sci fi only (Bikes in Space) but apparently any genre is fine. I'm tempted to think of a story because it would be a weird challenge.

At first it seemed like they wanted sci fi only (Bikes in Space) but apparently any genre is fine. I'm tempted to think of a story because it would be a weird challenge. LOL! I love reading the prompts. For a "WTH?" if nothing else. But even then, they get the wheels turning. If you pull off the book and bicycle combo, you gotta share it. I don't even know where to begin with that one. |

I'll write a story of a courier on Elivera, who adds a jet pack to their bicycle to deliver textbooks to a local village (figuring it'd be faster than just pedaling down the bike pathways in the Raliok canopy). Except it goes awry, and they end up crashing in the Raliok trees, a kilometer above the ground, and have to scavenge for some supplies to fix their bike to get those textbooks delivered on time -- even if it means using a textbook or two to help them patch up the bike. That would work, right? |

Okay, so I wrote the story, used Tisi and Ala's suggestions to edit it, and then Ala did one last look over it.
And it's submitted. Hahah, my tale of a courier who delivers books high in the canopy of giant kilometer tall trees. If you want to read the finished version, Raveneye, let me know and I'll share it.
