Raveneye is definitely Lawful Pantser, except on those bad days when I drift toward Chaotic. Stop the madness! Reel it in, Raveneye.

I thought I was gonna be neutral pantser, but Neutral Plotter shot me in the heart with that slow and steady duology bit. In general I'm totally chaotic Plotter. 300 Google docs and counting! Uploaded to the cloud so he can work on them on the go! Will he ever finish one? That's about as likely as him ever writing the first chapter of one.

So that's where the awesome RPG ideas are hiding out. I see it now! Dude, it's almost like you've done a lifetime's worth of pre-planning, so once you start writing, you'll never have to stop and panic for a new idea. Dayum, wish I had that problem.

I think I'm a chaotic plantser LOL. I'm always wanting to add in a murder or something just for the sake of it. I'm with Raveneye, Caulder. That's way too much awesomeness to be left in your head waiting to be written. Let's see that first draft of chapter one!

Neutral Plantser to Neutral Pantser

Neutral plantser. I start out knowing the rough progression of the plot and some of the major moments and turns but not the specifics, hence 'plantsing.' I don't get to know my characters or setting in detail in advance, unless I'm doing that just for fun and not to help with writing. At the same time, I'm wary of radical departures from my original intentions and really have a need to be 'comfortable' with what I'm writing.

I'm all over the map. It depends on the story and how much I care about it divided by how frustrated I am multiplied by my excitement for the idea in general.
For my last two contest pieces, they were pantsed for the first half and then slightly planned for the second half so that there could be some kind of logical conclusion.
For my novel, I plan ahead but only in my head for the most part. I definitely get obsessed with research for one throw away line. I leave notes for my future self when I notice a continuity error or other character issue. I can take something from all of these and then make it my writing personality. I feel chaotic and like a planner but also can be a pantser. So. Confused. That's my writet alignment. Confused.

Interesting topic! I think I'd fall primarily as a Lawful or Neutral Pantser, but if the mood hits, sometimes I'll attempt to be more organized somewhere in the range of Plantser before I go back to my natural state as a Pantser. Maybe venture to a Chaotic Plotter at times... Yeesh, I've spent too much time in some research holes. I generally rely on a bullet point brain or, for more complicated stories, actual bullet points in a doc.

Quite lawful and while I have pantsed I strongly prefer to plants and all future novels will be lawfully plantsed

Okay, so for the worldbuilding I'm Lawful Plantser........
but when I actually WRITE the stories, I'm most definitely Chaotic Pantser. Definitely. lol I apparently am only organized for the worldbuilding portion.

Wait? that's plotting? lol I have a so many documents (google docs, word docs on computer) that are mixtures of random scenes for stories, character design sheets filled out to max, an actual outline or three, and then all the world building docs that I'm slowly moving onto World Anvil so I can actually find my notes. lol So I relate hard to the 300 Docs and counting. hahaha. Mine probably isn't plotting tho -- most just general chaos and me writing down ideas and then forgetting I wrote down that idea, and then finding the idea several dozen documents later and being like, "Ohhhh, I should finish that" only to write a few thousand words on it and wandering off-- Oh. I see. ADHD writing is happening here.
