Oh it's a shame no one has posted in this weekly challenge. I know this is late(?) but enjoyed writing this one this morning.

A ball, the size of a fully filled orbee lay on the plate. I picked it up and shoved it in my mouth. The bitterness which followed always made me wince and want to spit it out but I managed to swallow it quickly.

“You’re not born with intelligence.” The female robotic voice erupted from the speakers. “You absorb it, these pills are mandatory.”

Yep, we literally eat our intelligence here and it taste disgusting. I swear I’ve seen others sneaking them into their pockets or holding them in their mouths to expose of after they leave the cafeteria.
