So, one of the things we have noticed is that there are less participants in our Challenge & Prompts forum, at least from what it used to be. What I'd love to know is what everyone things, what would pull you all in, and what can I help provide to get the idea's going!
forum.legendfire.com/board/25/prompts-challenges If you haven't checked us out, we have a few challenges going at any time. "Rolling Weekly" Is a weekly 100-word challenge that is posted and voted on, getting you bonus honor points if you win. We have general prompts that are posted by any number of members, including myself, that you can participate at your own leisure.
And of course, we have our 100 Word Challenge, which is 100 words to use in 100 different projects, to try and complete over the course of .. a year.. or so.
I remember that there were tons of challenges on the old forum that had no responses ever, at all. Yet they were always there in case people needed story prompts. Dreaming would post several a week, it seemed, and few of them actually saw replies, but they were great prompts regardless.
So I think the goal was to continue to bring new material to the forum for the joy of collecting fun prompts?
As far as the weekly contest goes, it would be awesome to see half a dozen people or more participating every week. Goes to show how much people are lurking instead of posting. Do you want me to be obnoxious and post links to the activity every couple of days?

FoxxGlove: Ack....hate it when I've checked and double checked and even triple checked to make sure all is good, only to find out I submitted an entry that has errors. ACK......

pelwrath: I have learned to accept that I’ll have errors, it’s a given. Only do my best to minimize the number of errors.

Mazulla: Same here! Why is it we only notice these things once they're submitted?!

Alatariel: Honestly if it's something small I won't take off points because we're all human.

FoxxGlove: Going to adopt the same policy, Alatariel. Such wise words.

pelwrath: It's been a few weeks but I had an idea for a 100-word story, and posted.

Mazulla: Your 100 word entry is great, Pelwrath. I don't have any ideas nailed down yet. I seem to always think on it a few days and sometimes don't post til the last day.

pelwrath: Mazulla, thank you for your kind words. In truth, I didn’t think I’d have a story for ‘crisp’, that I’d like. While cleaning the windows and screens for winter, the idea came to me. The day was a very cloudy one but for a few minutes the sun did shine.

Mazulla: When you're trying to put together some critiques, but your 80-90lb dog keeps throwing himself in your lap... And keeps looking at me and smiling. You can see this goof here: i.imgur.com/8UvQpbD.jpg?1
