Hello! Call me Raveneye. I've gone by the name so long that it feels more natural than the one on my birth certificate or my book covers.
History Repeats Itself:
The forum may be new, but this isn't my first rodeo. LegendFire had an earlier incarnation that lasted from 2008 to 2017. I bought the old forum, along with a handful of other members, in 2009 and ran it until it closed. There's not a trick in the book that I haven't encountered. Spammers are highest on my "I'm going to enjoy deleting you" list. Trolls are second on that list. Toxic humans are third. Whoever you are, please don't be toxic. I'd rather work alongside you.
After a three year hiatus, I realized the isolation, the lack of inspiration, and the search for a new writing community were worse than mediating between disgruntled people. I'm determined not to let toxic atmospheres seep in and destroy it this time. So here is LegendFire Reborn. Consider yourself in capable hands. I hope and pray that the new LF becomes a new haven for writers of all levels and backgrounds, as the old LF was.
About me personally:
* I'm a trad- and indie-published author and an occasional freelance editor. My preferred genre is fantasy, but I also write historical and mainstream.
* I love commas. When I see a comma misused, it feels like I have beetles crawling under my skin.
* Poetry that rhymes makes me want to gag.
* Cats over dogs. Coffee over tea.
* I play MMOs most nights.
* Best quality: laughter
* Worst quality: flashfire temper that makes dragons flee to the hills
