As of today, we're up to 45 Legendfirians. In the Reboot Announcement, I said that once we reach a membership of 50, we would host our first contest. We're almost there, folks! Five more people to go.
Spread the word across the web however you can. LF's Twitter account is up and active again, so if you tweet, please retweet LF's stuff. If you're active in a Facebook writing group (besides our own), consider posting a link to the forum. (Sharing from LF's Facebook page does not work, because it's a private group, so you'd need to copy the forum link from your browser.)
IN THE MEANTIME! I would like to know what kinds of contests you'd like to see us host. Our goal would be to spread out contests among each quarter, so let us know your ideas in this thread, and we'll try to incorporate as many as we can over the next few months and years. Assuming we get those next 5 members in the near future.
Thanks for caring about the community, and for coming back! You're necessary.

I know it may not be possible this year, but I remember the Halloween contest being fun and popular. I would love to see the annual Legends contest make a return, maybe as a spring or summer event so as not to compete with Nano.
Okay! I've settled on a contest theme and I'm taking care of some behind-the-scene stuff like practicing with the bulk email system and building badges and whatnot. And I know we've been very eager to get a contest going, but the timing is rather rotten.
NaNoWriMo just got started, and we want our NaNo folks to be able to partake in our contest, so we should probably wait until the first part of December to launch our contest. If all goes well, we'll get it going on 4 December. Exactly 1 month away!
In the meantime, keep spreading the word and posting and stuff. The community can't grow without you.
pelwrath: Okay, I'm working at keeping up with the rest of you in posting but not sure that I can.

ScienceGirl: It's okay. In about three weeks my work is going to be crazy and I won't be able to keep up as much. We all contribute what we can

FoxxGlove: From my personal viewpoint, I'm trying to post in terms of enjoyment and readability rather than volume. I don't think it will be more than once a day though, if that.

pelwrath: My last post for Letters, was much easier for me.

Caulder Melhaire: Seriously, don't stress too much in the solo posts lol

Caulder Melhaire: That whole setup was designed so that folks could tell their own fun stories at their own pace

FoxxGlove: Great advice, Caulder. I love that we can go our own way on solo quests.

baudelairecopay: I know I'm not supposed to ask this on the forum but I can't figure out how o post, either poetry or prose.

Alatariel: You can ask that! No worries.

Alatariel: When you click on the forum you want, at the top is a "create thread" button
Jul 26, 2021 19:15:11 GMT -6
Alatariel: it can be hard to see sometimes. It's right above the "search" bar

pelwrath: Had an idea for Litterbug Junction but after some further research, I'm dropping it.
