Considering what is going on in the news as of posting this, its probably a good idea to put something light hearted on here.
So besides actually getting us a Elderscrolls 6, if and when it happens, what are things we want from the game going forward.
Also keep in mind for my comments, I started with Skyrim, its my only Eldersroll game under my belt, so
In my case, I want to see.
1. A more diverse romancable options. Going off the top of my head, I expected Nords (Vikings) and maybe Brettons (humans that get some boosts to magic, some medieval England and France type society). top billing for most options considering where the game takes place. But only handfuls of Orcs you can marry despite 5 strongholds and an imperial presence which was always happy to have them. Handfuls of Dunmer (dark elves) despite they are desperately trying to get out of Morrowind due to the one two punch of exploding super volcano and Angorians finaly getting fed up with dunmer slavers, so there should have been more looking for someone to not look down upon them long enough to say: You're cute. Lets get hitched.. Maybe a handful of Imperials (the ones that ran the Empire that is falling apart). Only 1 Redgaurd (Moroccan Moors/Arabian Nights), 3 Angorians (lizardfolk) and 1 Altmer (high Elves), and no Bosmer (wood elves) or Khajite (Catfolk). Not saying there needed to be lots and lots of options, but more of each of the main races would have kept things interesting.
2. More Relationship options. As is, there is some dialogue that happens when you are married (and as of the last update I had, when you start courting some due to a mod I am guessing), some XP boost when you sleep togeather (same as Father's/Mother's Love) and they can make a meal once a day that boosts some stats. So maybe some minor things to make the courting process more interesting, and the married life more interesting. You can give and receive gifts from the kids, so why not with the spouse? Lets pick some nearly at random: Ysolda, Aella the Huntress, and Brylna for the girl; Moth Grobagol, Scouts-Many Marshes, and Quintus Navale for the men.
Like with the kids there are some things that might still be the same (sweets, daggers, and wooden swords) but considering how many outfits there are in game, maybe get one for them or flowers and jewelry. There might be something specific to their interests; Aella enjoys hunting so maybe arrows for her. Brylna is a mage, so soul stones and some potions. Ysolda is a merchant in training, so going with her on a shopping spree or gifting her a rare find for her shop. Moth is an orc blacksmith, so maybe he might enjoy a set of Orc armor or some rare ore. Scouts-Many Marshes might enjoy something that reminds him of home, or some things that can help the other Angorians working the docks. Quintus is an alchemist, so gathering ingredients for him might also help him with business.
Arguents, requests, and more... to make this sound better.
3. Better Children. There is some uncanny valley with the kids, and lets face it they all look the same. One of them is suppose to be a Red Guard and he looks like the other kids who are mostly pasty white nords. Some variety! I can understand no Angorian kids (Lore reasons), and the Khajite up there are either part of the trade caravans or studying in the college so largely understanding up there (although, lonely nights, person sized house cats, nothing is going on?). More so with Dunmer, as I am expecting entire families fleeing, and the Orcs where traditionally one man is in charge and gets all the wives, yet there no little ones there. So why not, you know, have more kids of different races? Have one or two of the player races be most common, but ave a handful of the others at least.
Also more beds you can make for kids. Have a limit, you can't adopt them all, but it always feels bad to not adopt more kids, and they are literally just 1s and 0s.
4. Fix COmbat Magic. Unlike the weapon skill trees, were the more you level them up the more they deal damage in addition to what the weapon does, if you want more potent magic...you need a more potent spell.
5. More weapon options. Angorians and Khajite, being animal people, have a perk to unarmed strikes due to their claws. They even have a clawing swipe instead a thrown punch. Considering how many potential brawls you can get yourself into, maybe have a few perks in good ol' Fist o' cuffs. Maybe also bringing back some, like throwing weapons and spears for variety.
6. Fix some of the broken perks. There are some perks that do absolutely nothing or the opposite. Wax Key is never needed as lockpicking is an easy way to level up. Critical boosting perks don't add to the critical as they add to the base damage instead of the how much you can do with the weapon smithed up and any potions or other enchantments you have on.
7. Make Wards Useful: Its better to take potions of resist various spells, use offensive spells, or using a weapon. Maybe if you are using the shield Spellbreaker as blocking with it makes its own Wards that coast you nothing. SO how about it act as a shield you can conjure, and while its up have it keep some magika from regenerating past a point, but still allows you to have some defenses while you cast your other spells or use a normal weapon.
8. A ability to fight in water. I am already breaking the laws of physics by swimming comfortably while wearing heavy armor, so why can't i just fight? Yes, this is because I am tired of dealing with slaughterfish.
9. A Library that can hold all the books in the game. The Tower does not fit them all. That is all.
10. More Pets. Why should your kids be the only ones getting an albino skeever, a mudcrab, a rabbit, or two different kinds of foxes following you around? Some of the mods added some different pets, some combat animals that can be dog like in build for some reskinning. Somethng for variety. And because Id did collect alot of those pets from that one mod, a place they can all go so they are not...crammed in the same place.
What about you guys?
