The Draculesti
Their arrival wasn’t initially discovered. Such never are. Yaks died and the price of cheese went up. When people died we started looking for a why. That was the winter of 2235. We called them micro-dragons. They came with large snowfalls and blizzards. A quarter the size of a snowflake. Peoples faces, necks and exposed flesh developed open sores as they were eaten alive. Heat made them hibernate, yet they still spread with the wind.
Some said they were natures answer to global warming. Other’s said the aliens were brought here on a meteor or in the samples of rock from Titan.
Humans are slowly going extinct. Oh, one other thing…
Winter is coming.

In The Quiet
Shoulder to shoulder, we huddled together in the trench, in the muck, for what little warmth we could lend one another. The cold invaded my boots, seeped into my feet. Numb fingers clutched my rifle.
The comrade to my left leaned heavily into me, having succumbed to the fatigue that weighed on us all. I resisted the urge to join him, and allowed he and a few others to recover with some much-needed rest.
The enemy had grown quiet. There was a palpable unease among those of us still awake.
The snowfall began.
No... Not snow.
Ash.

Whoops! I wasn't paying attention. Gonna extend this until the coming Sunday since there's only 4 days left in the current period.
Sorry!

The Snow Queen’s Revenge
I ride the first snowflake to fall. My army follows, a blizzard strong. It’s them or us. A desperate last resort, lest our kingdom melt completely away. We could bear the drip, drip of slow decline, but when the chasm opened in my throne room, I summoned the troops.
They do not suspect we attack from above. They do not expect us at all. They will not see the assault for what it is. Not at first. Not until the snow rises past their windows, their roofs, their skyscrapers. But by then, they will number too few to fight back.
