Hello, ya filthy animals. 
Sure has been a while since when I was a part of the group.
I wanted to find in-person writing groups. Where I live there are quite a few to choose from, including one locally I had been to before. Small and quiet group of writers in a few different genres. I enjoy it. However, its focused on writing and socializing moreso than finding editing partners.
On the flipside, I had a lot of things in life going on. I felt stretched out like a rubber band. I needed to cut back. For a little while, that is how I preferred it. Didn't really need an accountability partner; I write when I wanted. And its worked so far. Now its worth delving back in, thanks to Raveneeye asking me more than once to come back lol. She's great.
I'll be back here in a limited capacity. That way I don't overwhelm myself again with the other groups I am in. In other words, I mean to focus on one, maybe two, parts of the group, like novels and something else. I feel selfish for bringing it up a year later, but I need a developmental editor lol. My science fiction book has one step of editing finished. I can keep doing it how I see fit. But, to do it smarter? Well, someone else here probably knows far better than me. I am also writing a visual novel for a game jam currently. Lastly, I have something of a fantasy novel series concept. For another time.
Sooo... see you in the forums! I hope you don't think bad of me for disappearing.
