Surprise Guests
They’d been invited to a banquet. He perused the invitation.
Gentlemen in black, ladies in white. “My lovely lady wife, would you care to attend a black and white dinner, together?”
“My husband is taking me out to dinner for the first time in over two-hundred years. Of course, I’ll go. Those are our favorite colors. When is it?”
“The 21st of next month.” He pulled a rope chain, a wraith floated in. He handed the invitation to it.
“Please inform my favorite nephew, Asclepius, that Death and Lady Death most graciously accept, and look forward to his solstice banquet.”
