Hello all you crazy writers.
So some of you know about my severe ADHD (Controlled by meds now) and how I bounce from project to project like a weasel on meth, and some of you don't. For those that don't well...you've been warned lol.
Recently I've actually had to move my whole family, because of that basically all my creative projects were put on hold as finding a place to live took priority, but we're all moved now and things are settling down, and I'm finding the bandwidth again to be creative. But I've also been away from any of my projects for almost a month, which leads to the following dilemma.
I have probably 5 projects ready to write, only 2 of which I'm actually interested in writing at the moment and for the life of me I can't decide which project to dedicate some time to.
The First Project is the result of an Idea that I had back when I was a teenager, and only now have fleshed out the world and characters around it enough that I think there's a fascinating story to be told there. There is world building docs character sheets and magic systems and what not that I've written out attached to this project I only haven't begun to write it.
The Second Project is an Idea I actually had last year and my brain just wouldn't let go of it, and now like the first, I have world building docs all attached to this project as well.
And my brain wants both, but I don't want to give the time to both.
What do I do? What would you do? And Wisdom and advice is welcome lol.

Just flip a coin.
Okay, more seriously, as a fellow ADHD-er this is my wisdom: it doesn't matter which one you pick. It matters how quickly you get to work on it.
If you're anything like me, in about a week, something else will have caught your attention and you'll want to work on something else.
If I had to pick, I'd pick the second one. The one that takes the most space in your consciousness is the one you should work on first.

Roll the dice!!!!
Or just sit down to write and just brain dump. Don't even think about it - just dump the brain onto the paper/word processor. Then check which story appears in it. Write that one.
umm... yes, that is often the method I use to decide.

Dude, I feel like I have a similar issue right now. I have 3 projects I want to get done and don't know which one to focus my energy/time on first.
My goal is to publish, though, so I guess my way of choosing is to ask myself which story has the best potential to sell? And which one can I finish the fastest? That narrows it down to 2 because the third is an epic story of gigantic proportions and even though I have a lot written already, I've become discouraged lately.
So which of the 2 remaining ones should I work on? I don't know. I'm gonna close my eyes and point. The good thing about your dilemma is that you have good notes taken so you won't forget either of them. The next project will be there, waiting.
