A Daughters Wish
“Is this truly your hearts wish, daughter?” Thalmerick gazed into Salamera’s violet eyes.
“Yes father. He’s been so kind and gentlemanly to me during our courting. You’ve meet him and I think he’s impressed you.”
“For a human he’s seems to be a good person. He’s smart, kind, a hard worker, and fair of countenance. But a marriage to him? Will you be able to endure the pageant of death humans bear?”
“I’d rather have ten years of love, than two hundred without. The pain will be the same you had when mother died.”
Two tears emerged from his eyes.

Devil In The Details
The painted image is far from flattering. Forked tail. Wicked horns. Knee deep in a quagmire of suffering souls. And skin an impeccable shade of red. Crimson? Scarlet? Totally inaccurate, of course, but can't deny the artist's talent.
The girl is a beauty. No doubt a pageant queen. I sense she is a virgin who will bear many children as yet unborn. Have to remedy that!
"Think that's how he really looks?" I ask.
She blushes and lowers her eyes, glances at me from between captivating lashes. She is quite the coquette.
"I think he probably looks just like you!"

Two fascinating entries
A Daughter's Wish - I really like the feel of this story, it's quite moving for any father because it just reflects what every good father wants for his children. Great work.
Devil In The Details - I really like your balance of imagery and character, a difficult thing to do in 100 words. Well Done.
This is another difficult one to choose. Both deserve it this week.
