I'll answer any questions but here is my draft cover blurb for Sundowners 2.
Like holes in Swiss cheese, the secrets that Agate knows keep popping up. A third vampire organization that rescued her, unknown to all other vampires. Zephrin and Laurent’s relationship, a formula that saved her life but has unintended consequences for humans and vampires alike, are only a few of the flowers that bloomed in Agate’s Garden of secrets.
Unfortunately, those weeds need to be pulled out at the root and that leads to more problems. Secrets are a terrible thing to keep. They’re seeds of mistrust and confusion. The doubts of a person’s sincerity, that spreads with time and revelation. Even Agate’s daughter is caught in these ever-growing vines. Unfortunately, when a representative of the Catholic Church shows up, looking for Henriette Tangre, an alias Agate once used, things really become bad.
Rejoin your vampire friends, Zephrin, Agate and their family and friends as they try to resolve some personal issues, discover what blood really means, and stop a second vampire civil war, that would fully expose the existence of vampires.

My editing eforts have resulted in this:
The secrets that Agate knows keep surfacing; The unknown vampire organization that rescued her, Zephrin and Laurent’s relationship, and a cure that saved her life but has unintended consequences for humans and vampires. These are only a few of the flowers that have bloomed in Agate’s garden of secrets.
Unfortunately, secrets are a cancer that needs treatment. They are a terrible thing to keep. They are seeds of mistrust and confusion. The doubts about a person’s sincerity that spreads with time and revelation. Even Agate’s daughter is a victim of these ever-growing vines. Then a representative of the Catholic Church shows up, looking for Agate under an alias she once used, further complicating an already unpleasant situation.
The compelling sequel to Vampires Are Only Human is an ingenious take on vampires, shattering the myth we all have come to believe. This adventure takes us beyond anywhere we expected. Fiction and fact become entwined as history isn’t what we thought.
Rejoin your favorite vampire family and their friends as they resolve personal issues, discover what blood means, and attempt to stop a second vampire civil war, which would expose the existence of vampires.

Your edit is a big grammar improvement, and I'm glad you were able to do that. I'm not experienced in blurb writing as unfortunately I've never written a book, and I haven't read your novel or its prequel, but I'll point out a couple things.
The secrets that Agate knows keep surfacing; After reading the whole blurb, I'm not sure what you mean by this. Usually if a secret "surfaces" it means it's no longer a secret, that it's come to public knowledge. But then you go on to say that her secrets are a terrible thing to keep, so they're still being kept? And it should have a colon rather than a semicolon.
The doubts about a person’s sincerity This doesn't seem quite right. Secrets are not doubts about a person's sincerity; they might cause doubts about a person's sincerity, is what I think you mean to say.
these ever-growing vines. I notice and like your repeated plant metaphors, but they keep switching. First secrets are flowers, then they're seeds, and then they're vines.

Scyntilla,
Thanks for your suggestions and observations. It’s multiple secrets that become exposed. The plant references were intentional and varied as I didn’t want to repeat a reference. These secrets do cause several people to get very mad at Agate.
I’ll look at your suggestions and see what I can create. I only have the one book. This is for its sequel, which isn’t quite ready for release.
