Raven Eye Press is looking for guest blogger book reviews. I posted several reviews that I had written way back when, and it would be nice to have others contribute some on occasion.
About the reviews: * Any genre is welcome. * Length: 500-1000 words. * Review need not be original to REP. If you wrote a review for your own blog and would like to reprint it at REP, that would be great. * You own the content to do with as you please. (You do own the content, don't you?) * Reviews must be voluntary, meaning you weren't paid by the author to say nice things about the book. * Be honest, objective, and creative. But be diplomatic: what goes around may come around. * Have some kind of personalizing method to your reviews. (I score the books I review with magic wands and provide the blurb, my thoughts on the book, and some kind of takeaway. See an example ON THE SITE. Personalize your reviews in your own way.) * I may edit for typos or SPaG, add cover images, purchase links, and labels to your post. If you decide to contribute reviews just once or frequently, send me a PM or an email at LF's address, and I will send you an author invite to REP's blog and further instructions. I've never invited guest bloggers before, so this will be a learning experience. I hope we get to collaborate!

Any specific genres? I would have to read something first to write a reveiw. I've only managed two books so far this summer. One was The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which I loved, and the other was The Carriage House by Louisa Hall, which was meh.

All's fair in reading and book reviews. (I'll regret saying that when it's my own books in the critic's teeth.)

Though I will have to think of a fun rating system that is unique to me... That would be wonderful! Daily Science Fiction has a rocket ship system for its readers to rate each story. Also, so I had an image of the magic wands to post with each review, I had to use GIMP to make individual images of each number of wands I might need. In case you were wondering.

Okay, so I did a search of book reviews on my blog, and I have a lot of nonfiction ones. (This is an example of my nonfiction ones: reshapingreality.org/2018/10/14/review-green-gone-wrong/ ) The fiction ones I do a LOT differently as I don't do as thoroughly analysis of the content since fiction and nonfiction differ greatly in that regard. So is a nonfiction one worth reformating for your site? Or would you rather I dig up one of my fiction reviews? (this is an example of a fiction review: reshapingreality.org/2015/06/17/book-review-the-telling/ ) I'm thinking of using space nebulas in place of stars.

I would prefer to keep reviews in the fiction domain, unless the book is about writing instruction or other writing-related material. Your review of The Telling looks perfect. I would copy/paste the blurb above it and add any cover images and general purchasing links, and a spoiler warning. And of course you'd stick your rating on at the bottom. Nebulas is so fitting for you. Love it. I'll send you guest blogger invite, and we can tinker around with how that system works.

I kinda neglected this since Litterbug Junction launched. So ScienceGirl and Alatariel, I will send you email invites to the addresses in your profile with some further instructions. There's no rush, no time limit, no pressure.

If I finished books faster I could try. Don't suppose I still can a month or three after starting one.

If I finished books faster I could try. Don't suppose I still can a month or three after starting one. Of course! There's no rush at all. I don't read books quickly either, takes me a couple of months to finish a novel, so that's no problem whatsoever. There's no schedule, no "this blog needs a new review every week" kind of thing. Just whenever. No stress. If you want to give it a shot in the future, just let me know for sure, and I'll send an invite your way.
