 @everyone I feel stupid but...I don't know what this meeeaaaannnsssss. I know what BBC code is but like...what specifically do I need to format with it?? I add the B for bold and i for italics when it's needed but what else must be done? *stress* *hyperventilate* |

I add the B for bold and i for italics when it's needed but what else must be done? *stress* *hyperventilate* We have to put code tags around the whole thing, including the bold tags and italics tags, so it'll look the same way when it's posted for the contest. When you write a post using the "preview" tab and use the buttons to format, it still has a corresponding BBcode. It puts the bold text in the B tags and the italicized text in the I tags, even though you don't see it. Like, since you have the Preview tab active, you see the text the way it'll look when it's posted, as in actually bold or italicized. But if you just copy-paste that to Raveneye, it'll lose the formatting because it's just text without the tags that tell the forum how to format it. So we have to transfer it to her including all the tags so the formatting is preserved when she reposts them. |

I actually wondered the same stuff when I submitted — to the point that I copied the BBCode stuff I sent to Raveneye and pasted it in a new post just to check what it looked like when I switched back to the Preview tab. It looked fine.
It should be fine. The BBCode stuff is really only important if you used special formatting in your poem like bold or non-left alignment or colors.

@everyone Remember, if you want your poem formatted a certain way, be sure to send it to me enclosed in BB Code. Otherwise, when I copy and paste, it will add unsightly gaps between lines and remove other formatting. Whoa, just saying, the links to "how to create poetry" in the announcement post really helped me nail some things I was wanting to say but didn't know how. Quite useful, in case anyone is needing some direction during the crit phase.
