Awesome songs we love made even better! ... or at least remade in interesting ways.
Discovered Gamazda and her fabulous piano covers a couple nights ago:

The way they pick up at the end with the choir. So powerful.

My favorite cover of all time is Disturbed's version of "The Sound of Silence." I listen to it over and over and over and...

I love this cover of Bring Me To Life by Evanescence. I love a lot of the covers on their channel.

Was randomly reminded of this song today. It's an old cover from Tru Calling. The only cover of In The Air Tonight that I don't hate lol

Some of you guys might be too young to remember that annoying little mmm bop ditty from Hanson. The song everyone loved to hate LOL. These guys did a 50's version of it. Not my usual genre, but it's kind of cute and peppy on one of those bleh Covid days.

So my husband and I are having this conversation this morning about everyone gets a trophy and everyone wants to be Tik Tok famous, and then he shows me this LOL.
And I watch gaping for a few minutes and then we just HAD to Google them. These guys are oddly talented. Not in a Etta James kind of way. Kind of hard to describe them. Enjoy

Not a cover per se but definitely a reimagining:

I do love a good cover - especially when it is done well. It often adds a whole other dimension to an already very good song.
I don't know if I would say this is a favourite - after all I have heard so many bands cover The Immigrant Song before, but Enslaved really do make it something else. They really black metallise this already great song - its so different but the most accurate to hitting the same emotion Led Zeppelin intended while firmly stamping Enslaved's sound on the song. Enjoy!!!
