Just finished writing mine. Tomorrow I'll give it another read through, during which I expect to find plenty of things to change, and then go ahead and submit it to myself. I had to tackle a weird error on the browser-based word processor I use that made me lose a few hundred words of progress this evening. But I wrote back what I remembered faster than I expected. uh oh now I have to cut 550 words because I thought the limit was 3500! OOPS. I don't know if I can do that without losing a significant amount of the emotional impact   I'm amazed you wrote a 3550-word story from scratch in, what, eight hours? I guess it wouldn't really be fair to extend the word limit at this point since people have already written with 3000 in mind. But know that I considered it. I hope you keep the long version somewhere. Currently at 1,300 words and still have a good bit more to write. I didn't realize it was UTC, so that's only 3pm for me tomorrow.  Fingers crossed I can pull this off. You know, I just made it UTC for simplicity even though I don't live in that time zone myself, just so people didn't have to remember different definitions of midnight for each different contest host depending where they live. So it's pretty arbitrary. I can give you a few more hours past that if it helps. |

Writing that much in one day is SO not like me but I had to get it done so I'd have time to edit. And edit I must! OHH can you link the word counter you'll be using?? |

Oof, yeah, I don't think I'm going to make it. I really like the idea I have going, but to execute it well and not rush things, I think I need like 4k+ words. So I'm going to hang onto it, but it will be a personal project I'll need to finish up.
