I also feel two weeks is rather cramped in general. Speaking just for myself, I don't yet have the skill and the good writing work ethic that many of you have, though of course these contests are good practice for that. This time around in particular, I was additionally working on the Compendium for the first part and dealt with personal issues for another few days. With such a short timeframe, I feel like I have to come up with an inspired idea quickly and then hope I haven't picked the wrong one because there isn't much time to change my mind. And then it takes a long time to write something passable. Stories keep taking longer than I predict.
As for progress on this entry, I'm almost there. Maybe I can finish tomorrow?

How's everyone doing? I just finished writing my whole piece out. Tomorrow I should be able to edit it pretty fast and submit. I'm thankful for the extension.

Same boat, I ground out the bulk yesterday and will spend tonight editing and sanding the edges.
I was bound and determined to write something for this contest, I just didn't hit inspiration until the weekend and then I had too much shit to do before I could write. The extension helped but I'm sorely missing those 2 weeks I usually have. I'm preparing to get fully roasted on this one LOL

We'll see! Things are still very much up in the air regarding my story...it's not done so I guess that's that unless I can finish in the next few hours.

Finished and submitted at the last minute. Whew! Ended up liking the story more than I thought (shocker) but I still feel iffy about the structure. Feels like it should be longer, or something.
Ah well. Notes to consider for editing after it gets shredded LOL
