I came to LegendFire over ten years ago now. Very glad to see it back.

I used to be PretendTheresPurpose and then ScintillaPurpose; I deliberated for a while on the new username. Myntan is Old English for 'to mean' or 'to intend.' I don't know much about Old English, but it was a beautiful language with some beautiful poetry! I'll see how I feel about this name in a while; I'm still not sure that I'm going to keep it this way.

I'm not doing very well, to be honest. I'm working out some important aspects of my identity. Years of neuroticism have also led to a full-blown severe anxiety disorder that weighs on me all the time. I'm trying gradually to get back to writing again and appreciating the narrative that is life.
